A helping hand to assist self-healing of
bones, joints, ligaments and tendons
It s a fact: you are far better at healing your
aches and pains than you think. But there are
times when you need medical attention: an
accident, postural problems, a pulled
muscle, a torn ligament, or have an inherited
problem. Osteopathy works with your body's
natural resources to bring it back to good
health without the use of surgery or drugs.
Techniques differ from one osteopath to
another usually as a result of personal
experience. Sean Durkan has a gentler touch
than most yet gets the excellent results
achieved by the best of his profession. By
mobilising the spine or body's joints very
gently, he can diagnose whether a problem is
due to muscles, ligaments or the joint itself.
The key to osteopathy lies in diagnosis.
Where you feel the pain is often remote from
its cause. So Sean will ask questions on
your first appointment and search for
the source of your problem. Only then will
he start the healing process.
On a reassuring note, Sean's treatment
lasts no longer than necessary. In some
cases a couple of sessions is enough but,
occasionally, a course may last for some
weeks. Sean freely acknowledges the
healing powers of the medical profession as
a whole; if he believes you would be better
served by another practitioner, he will gladly
make the right referral.
I could hardly walk but Sean sorted me out in no time. In just
three weeks I was playing my best round of golf for years.
